| Opis rewersu | A bold cross fleurdelisée (lilied cross) is displayed prominently at the centre of the field, with each arm terminating in a stylised fleur-de-lis finial, a hallmark of French royal coinage types introduced into Genoese monetary production during the French administration. The surrounding circular legend invokes the traditional Genoese royal title of Conrad, King of Romans, a conventional inscription retained on Genoese coinage as a mark of historical legitimacy. The flan is irregular in outline, characteristic of hammered gold coinage of the period. The entire composition is typical of Franco-Genoese monetary production of the early sixteenth century. |
