Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, an armored knight on a charging horse galloping to right, his right arm raised and brandishing a sword above his head. Below the horse, the provincial arms of Utrecht appear in the lower field. The equestrian figure is rendered in high relief in the Dutch Silver Rider tradition. The surrounding legend is separated by pellet stops and runs along the outer rim.
