Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, an armored knight on horseback prances to the right, raising a drawn sword aloft in his right hand; a crowned shield of Utrecht arms appears beneath the horse. The knight wears a plumed helmet and full plate armor, and the horse is depicted in dynamic mid-stride. The peripheral Latin legend, separated by pellets, reads MO · NO · ARG · PRO · CONFOE · BELG · TRAI · and runs between the beaded inner circle and the raised klippe border.
