Obverse description A fully armored knight on horseback occupies the central field, depicted in right-facing profile at full gallop with sword raised aloft in the right hand, emblematic of the provincial cavalry type known as the 'Zilveren Rijder.' A crowned shield bearing the West Friesland lion is positioned in the lower portion of the field beneath the horse. The encircling Latin legend is separated by pellet stops and reads continuously around the coin's inner border within a beaded rim.
