Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Wilhelm IV of Saxe-Weimar facing slightly to the right, with long flowing hair and a short beard, depicted in armour with a lace collar visible at the neckline. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the German Baroque manner, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The abbreviated Latin legend encircles the effigy along the upper periphery, divided to either side of the bust.
