Obverse description A draped bust of Janus faces right atop a decorative pedestal, the front of which displays the Augsburg pine cone emblem flanked by scrolling acanthus foliage. Olive or laurel branches flank the pedestal on either side. The semicircular legend MEMORIA SEMI SECVLARIS arcs across the upper field, with the mintmaster initials ƆC positioned in the exergue below the base of the pedestal. The overall composition is rendered in a refined baroque style consistent with mid-eighteenth-century German municipal coinage.
