| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, her hair elaborately dressed and tied back, with a lace-trimmed décolletage visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque court portrait style. The circular legend surrounds the bust, reading M THERES D G to the right and R I HUN BOH REG to the left, separated by stops. The coin's milled border frames the design with a fine beaded inner rim. |

The eagle bears on its breast an ornate escutcheon of the Habsburg arms. The date 1770 appears in the upper field to the left, with the denomination mark 1/2 in the exergue below the eagle's talons, flanked by the mintmaster initials H and G. The circular legend reads A AU DUX B M P TRAN CO TYR, distributed around the periphery between beaded borders. |
