| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse presents the city arms of Regensburg set within an ornate four-lobed cartouche, featuring two crossed keys above two chequered shields arranged in saltire — the traditional heraldic emblem of the city. The monogram 'R' appears prominently at the center where the crossed keys intersect, with smaller letters visible at the upper and lower points of the cartouche. The entire design is framed by the square klippe flan, its border decorated with a continuous beaded or milled edge, with scrollwork embellishments filling the corners of the square field. |
