| Beschrijving keerzijde | Square klippe flan with a continuous beaded inner border closely following the square outline. The imperial crown with cross finial occupies the upper portion of the field. Below, a five-line Latin inscription in capital letters fills the central field, recording the coronation of Matthias I as King of the Romans at Frankfurt on the ninth of September 1619. The design is austere and epigraphic in character, typical of early seventeenth-century German coronation klippe issues. |
