Obverse description Square klippe flan with a beaded inner border. The central device features the crowned Frankfurt eagle displayed, with the imperial crown surmounting the design. Flanking the central monogram 'F' are the numerals '8' and '3', likely denoting the fractional denomination, with the Roman numeral 'II' below. Small heraldic supporters appear to either side of the central motif, and the entire design is set within a plain milled border following the square form of the klippe.
