| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the city gate of Genoa (castello) is depicted centrally, flanked on either side by the initial letter A, referencing the Doge Antoniotto Adorno. The gate is rendered in a stylized, Gothic manner typical of Genoese hammered coinage of the early sixteenth century. A beaded border separates the central device from the surrounding circular Latin legend in the outer field. |

| Reverse description | A plain, bold cross with splayed arms is displayed at the centre of a beaded inner circle, occupying the full width of the central field in the tradition of Genoese genovino-type coinage. The cross is rendered in high relief with clean, squared terminals. The surrounding outer field carries a circular Latin legend separated from the central device by the beaded border. |
