Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Persian legend arranged within a rectangular frame formed by two horizontal ruled lines. The inscription reads 'Nim fulus Hanarabal Kampani Isavi 1807', identifying the denomination as half falus of the Honourable East India Company in the Christian year 1807. The date numerals appear in Arabic-Indic script at the base of the inscription. The overall style is characteristic of Mughal-influenced calligraphic coinage produced under the Madras Presidency.
