| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of Presidents George Washington and Calvin Coolidge face right in high relief, occupying the central field. Washington, depicted in period colonial dress with ruffled collar, is positioned slightly behind and to the left of Coolidge, who wears a modern suit. The legend LIBERTY arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by decorative rosettes, while UNITED STATES OF AMERICA curves along the lower border. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears in two lines to the right of the busts, within the field. |
