| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Liberty wearing a crested helmet adorned with a five-pointed star, her hair rendered in flowing curls cascading to the shoulder. The effigy occupies the central field, with the legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcing along the upper periphery. A small engraver's initial E appears at the base of the truncation. The coin is struck within a toothed border running the full circumference of the flan. |
