| Obverse description | The complete coat of arms of the Republic of Nauru occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a frigate bird above a rising sun and a sprig of tomano blossoms, flanked by two palm fronds and surmounted by a twelve-pointed star representing the island's position below the equator. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto GOD'S WILL FIRST in the exergue.
