Reverse description A standing frontally-oriented pioneer figure in buckskin attire holds a musket, dominating the central field. Behind the figure, a stylized depiction of Fort Vancouver's palisade walls is visible, with a prominent snow-capped mountain peak — generally identified as Mount Hood — rising in the background. The composition conveys the rugged frontier character of the Pacific Northwest. The curved legend FORT VANCOUVER CENTENNIAL arcs along the upper rim, with the inscription VANCOUVER · WASHINGTON · FOUNDED · 1825 · BY · HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY encircling the lower portion of the design.
