| Reverse description | Central gold-plated full-length figure of the ancient Egyptian god Thoth depicted in traditional hieratic style, facing left, with the head of an ibis surmounted by a lunar disc, holding a was-sceptre and a scribal palette. To the lower left of the central figure, a gold-plated scarab beetle is prominently featured. To the right, a cartouche rendered in gold plating bears hieroglyphic inscriptions. The dark field is populated with stylised lotiform fan motifs and crossed ankh and was symbols in the blackened ground, all within a beaded inner border and a hatched outer border.
