| 背面描述 | Detailed three-quarter view of Hohenschwangau Castle rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, with coniferous trees flanking the castle at lower left and a rocky escarpment forming the base. A globe motif appears in the upper left corner of the rectangular flan, evoking the castle's international landmark status. The date 2016 is inscribed in the upper right field. The castle name HOHEN-SCHWANGAU is engraved in two lines within a frosted panel at the base of the reverse. |

Hohenschwangau Castle predates its more famous neighbor Neuschwanstein by several centuries — it was the childhood home of Ludwig II of Bavaria, who would later commission Neuschwanstein directly across the valley. The Solomon Islands has no geographic or historical connection to either site; this is squarely a bullion novelty issued for the collector market, one of dozens of similar micro-denomination silver pieces the Central Bank authorized throughout the 2010s to generate foreign revenue.
