| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the left portion of the rectangular field against a darkened background. The portrait depicts the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, with fine detail in the hair and facial features. To the right of the effigy, in the polished field, the legend SOLOMON ISLANDS appears along the upper border, with HALF DOLLAR in two large lines below.
