Obverse description The obverse features a right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and crown. The portrait is centrally positioned within the annular sector field and is attributed to the engraver Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend SOLOMON ISLANDS arcs along the upper border, flanked on either side by decorative Greek key motifs. The denomination HALF DOLLAR is inscribed in the field to the left and right of the portrait respectively. The date 2020 appears along the lower border, also flanked by Greek key ornamental bands.
