| 表面の銘文 | ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS HALF DOLLAR IRB 2018 |
| 裏面の説明 | Full-color reproduction of Gustav Klimt's oil on canvas masterpiece 'Death and Life' (c. 1910–1915), rendered across the entire rectangular field of the coin using pad-printing color technology. To the left, a skeletal figure of Death, rendered in dark tones and adorned with symbolic cross and circular motifs, gazes toward a cluster of intertwined human figures representing the cycle of Life at right, depicted in Klimt's characteristic ornamental style with richly patterned robes, warm flesh tones, and layered embraces evoking birth, love, and mortality. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse. |

The "Death and Life" issue is part of a broader wave of memento mori themed coinage that flooded the collector market through the 2010s, largely driven by European distributors licensing Pacific island jurisdictions — Solomon Islands among the most frequently used — as nominal issuers. The actual connection between the issuing authority and the coin's subject matter is purely administrative.
Elizabeth II's appearance here is incidental; her effigy satisfies the legal requirement for Commonwealth coinage, nothing more.
