Additional information

Issued to mark the 245th anniversary of the April 1775 engagement at Lexington Green, where the first shots of the American Revolutionary War were fired between Massachusetts militiamen and British regulars. The exact order of who fired first has never been established — a question that was politically inconvenient from the moment the smoke cleared.
