附加信息	Cook Islands has issued commemorative coinage under New Zealand's monetary umbrella since 1972, and its output by the 2010s had grown into one of the more prolific novelty programs in the Pacific — dozens of themed releases annually, most destined for collector packaging rather than any till. This piece honors Alexander von Humboldt, the Prussian naturalist whose 1799–1804 expedition to the Americas produced five volumes of data that reshaped European understanding of physical geography and plant distribution. Humboldt died in 1859 at 89, still revising his final work.
