| Obverse description | A highly detailed portrait of a Bald Eagle in left-facing profile dominates the field, its plumage rendered with fine engraving detail. Superimposed on the eagle's breast is the Public Seal of Niue, depicted as a circular medallion bearing a central tree motif surrounded by a beaded border and the legends PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE and ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI. The curved legend AMERICA 250TH ANNIVERSARY arcs across the upper field, while LIBERTY and the date 2025 appear to the left of the eagle's neck. The denomination HALF DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower exergue. |

| Additional information |
The "Committee of Five" references the drafting subcommittee appointed by the Second Continental Congress in June 1776 to produce what became the Declaration of Independence — Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, Sherman, and Livingston. Livingston, notably, never signed the final document; he was recalled to New York before the vote. This Niue-issued piece falls within the ongoing wave of American Founders commemoratives produced under Pacific island licensing arrangements, where sovereign minting rights are leased to generate foreign revenue.
