Obverse description The Coat of Arms of Fiji occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a British lion with a cocoa pod, a sugar cane plant, a dove of peace, and a bunch of bananas, surmounted by a sailing vessel. Two Fijian warriors in traditional dress serve as supporters, one holding a spear to the left and the other a war club to the right. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto in the Latin legend. The country name FIJI arcs along the upper rim, while HALF DOLLAR is inscribed in large letters along the lower rim. The weight and alloy specification 10g Ti990 appear vertically along the right edge of the field.

A wooded hillside landscape with a building is visible in the background to the right, while the bridge roadway recedes sharply toward the left horizon. The legend BRIDGE TITAN RT is inscribed in two segments along the upper arc of the coin. The date 2019 appears in the lower exergue in large numerals.

Additional information

Fiji's Bridge Titan series occupies a peculiar niche: legal tender coinage struck in commercially pure titanium, a metal essentially absent from numismatic use until the late 1990s when a handful of mints began experimenting with it for novelty issues. Titanium's resistance to corrosion and its distinctive gray surface coloration cannot be replicated by post-mint treatment, which is precisely why it was adopted — the metal itself becomes the aesthetic.

Fiji has no domestic titanium production; the blanks for this issue were sourced and processed entirely offshore before striking.
