Reverse description The reverse presents the official arrowhead emblem of the National Park Service rendered in high relief at center, enclosing a detailed landscape featuring a tall sequoia tree, snow-capped mountains, a conifer forest, and a bison grazing in the foreground. Within the arrowhead, the inscription NATIONAL PARK SERVICE appears in bold lettering. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA curves along the upper rim, with E PLURIBUS UNUM inscribed below it in a secondary arc. HALF DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower portion of the rim, flanked by the words STEWARDSHIP to the left and RECREATION to the right.
