| Reverse description | Central field divided into three lines of Arabic Naskh script bearing the Shahada: 'There is no god but God / Muhammad is the Messenger of God', followed by the date formula 'in the year eight hundred and twenty-four' (AH 824). The inscription is boldly struck in raised relief, filling the field to the irregular flan edges. The reverse carries no additional ornamental devices, consistent with standard Mamluk religious and regnal coinage conventions. |
