| Descrizione del dritto | The central vignette presents a cement factory with tall industrial chimneys and large cylindrical kilns, rendered in intaglio against a multicolour guilloche underprint. Arabic inscriptions identifying the issuing authority البنك المركزي العراقي and the denomination نصف دينار appear above and below the vignette. The serial number is printed twice, at the lower left and upper right, with ornamental guilloche rosettes filling the corners. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is dominated by a finely engraved intaglio vignette of the Great Mosque of Samarra, with its celebrated spiral minaret (Malwiya) rendered in precise architectural detail against a plain background. A multicolour arabesque rosette underprint occupies the left field as a decorative counterpart to the central image. English legends reading Central Bank of Iraq and Half Dinar appear at the top and bottom respectively, with an Arabic caption identifying the monument at lower right. |
