Obverse description Intaglio-printed note in brown tones, with a portrait vignette of the young King Faisal II positioned at the lower right, rendered in a finely engraved oval frame. The centre of the note carries the denomination in Arabic script alongside multi-line Arabic text, while an ornate guilloche pattern and decorative cornerpieces frame the composition. The issuing authority title in Arabic appears within a panel at the top, with the serial number printed twice in red at upper right and lower left.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown on white paper and centred on a large guilloche oval containing the fractional numeral '1/2' in bold letterpress. To its right, a decorative panel bears the bilingual denomination 'DINAR / 2 / DINAR' flanked by starburst ornaments, with a smaller inscription block below referencing convertibility under Law No. 44 of 1931. The heading 'GOVERNMENT OF IRAQ' runs across the top in serif capitals, and additional '1/2' numerals appear in the four corners within guilloche panels, with an empty oval watermark space at the right.
