Six-pointed stars flank the effigy on both sides, with eight stars to the left and seven to the right on the standard 1796 die, though varieties exist with differing star counts for 1797 issues. A fine beaded border frames the entire design. Notable die varieties include the LIKERTY error (B punched over L) and the 6/5 overdate. |
