1/2 Decima de Real - Isabel II

This denomination emerged from Spain's 1848 decimal reform, which restructured the coinage system under Isabel II in an attempt to modernize and rationalize a currency that had grown chaotic through decades of regional minting and political instability. The Segovia mint, long associated with smaller copper issues, handled much of this production.

The two-year run ended abruptly as further monetary adjustments rendered the denomination obsolete almost before it had established itself in commerce.
