| Beschrijving voorzijde | The plate money (plåtmynt) bears five applied stamps struck into the flat copper surface: four identical corner stamps, each depicting the crowned royal cypher of King Charles XII (Karl XII) enclosing the interlaced monogram, flanking a two-part date, and a central stamp consisting of the denomination legend '1/2 DALER SM' enclosed within a square border with reeded or engine-turned outline. The irregular rectangular copper plate, characteristic of Swedish plåtmynt production, shows the natural surface distortion and patination typical of heavily circulated large-denomination copper currency of the early eighteenth century. |
