| Beschrijving voorzijde | This copper plate money (plåtmynt) features four corner stamps, each bearing the crowned royal cypher of Charles XII (CRS monogram) surmounted by a royal crown above the date of issue. A central stamp in the field displays the denomination '1/2 DALER' above a large six-pointed star, with the inscription 'Sölff:Myf' (an abbreviation for Sölfvermynt, i.e. Silvermynt) identifying the monetary standard. The plate is of characteristic irregular rectangular form, cast and hammered from copper, with the stamps applied by hand dies resulting in slight variation in placement across different examples. The surface retains the typical texture of Swedish plate coinage, with visible tool marks and casting irregularities consistent with this issue. |
