Obverse description This Swedish copper plate money features four corner stamps, each bearing the crowned royal cypher of King Charles XI (CRS) above the date of issue. The central stamp displays the denomination inscription in two lines, with the value expressed as '1/2' flanked by decorative stars above the abbreviated legend for Silvermynt. The flat rectangular copper plate, characteristic of Swedish plåtmynt coinage, carries all inscriptions in relief as applied by individual dies. The corner stamps are placed diagonally at each corner of the plate, a standard feature of Swedish plate money of this period.
