| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large ornate Burgundian cross composed of elaborately entwined firesteels with flint and sparks rendered in high relief, the arms of the cross terminating in decorative foliate flourishes. The date 1568 is divided by the vertical arms of the cross, with '15' to the left and '68' to the right, positioned in the inner field. A small fleur-de-lis ornament appears at the top of the cross. The surrounding legend in Latin reads continuously around the coin's periphery, separated by lozenge-shaped stops. |

| Reverse description | Central device consisting of the crowned composite coat of arms of Old and New Burgundy, elaborately quartered and displayed on a heraldic shield, superimposed by a smaller escutcheon bearing the arms of Guelders. The entire armorial composition is encircled by the Chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, with the characteristic jewel of the fleece pendant at the base. The legend surrounds the design in the outer field, separated by lozenge-shaped stops, invoking divine assistance in Latin. |
