背面描述	The Cross of the Order of Christ is prominently displayed at the centre of the reverse, its distinctive red-and-white arms rendered in relief. Depending on the die variety, a small pellet appears at each angle of the cross (Gomes A6.26.xx), or the angles are left plain without pellets (Gomes A6.27.xx). The surrounding Latin legend encircles the cross in the border area. The overall design follows the established Portuguese tradition of placing the crusading cross on the reverse of silver cruzado coinage.
