| Reverse description | The quartered royal shield of arms, bearing the arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland with the Hanoverian escutcheon en surtout, is displayed at the centre of the field, surmounted by a jewelled imperial crown. The shield is draped with an ermine-lined mantle tied with tasselled cords at each side, the whole resting on a decorative floral base. The date inscription ANNO followed by the year appears in the lower portion of the field, divided by the base of the shield, within a continuous toothed border. |
