Reverse description The quartered royal shield of arms, bearing the arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland with the Hanoverian escutcheon en surtout, is displayed at the centre of the field, surmounted by a jewelled imperial crown. The shield is draped with an ermine-lined mantle tied with tasselled cords at each side, the whole resting on a decorative floral base. The date inscription ANNO followed by the year appears in the lower portion of the field, divided by the base of the shield, within a continuous toothed border.
