正面描述	Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, pearl drop earring, and pearl necklace, after the portrait by Raphael Maklouf. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery and ISLE OF MAN along the right, with the date 1988 at lower right. The engraver's initials RDM appear at the base of the truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field.

背面描述	A large kangaroo with joey visible in its pouch stands in the central field, rendered in fine detail with a rocky landscape behind it. To the left background, a horseman is depicted, and to the right a colonial-era horse-drawn stagecoach, evoking the Australian frontier. The Triskeles badge of the Isle of Man appears at the top of the inner field. The circumferential legend reads 1788 BICENTENARY OF AUSTRALIA 1988, flanked by decorative chain motifs at lower left and right. The denomination CROWN and the specification FINE GOLD 1/2 OUNCE are inscribed in the lower exergue.
