Reverse description Plain octagonal silver flan with a beaded inner circle enclosing a similarly hand-stamped weight notation in cursive script, reading '9' to the lower left and 'gr / 1[6]' to the right, mirroring the obverse inscription. The surface is rough and irregular, reflecting the improvised hammered production under siege conditions in Dublin, 1642. The field outside the beaded border is entirely plain. As with the obverse, no iconographic device or royal imagery is employed, the piece relying entirely on its stamped weight for authentication and valuation.
