Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, after the effigy modelled by Mary Gillick, with the Queen's hair elegantly arranged and bound with a laurel wreath. The engraver's initials MG appear on the truncation. The peripheral legend reads +QUEEN·ELIZABETH·THE·SECOND, separated by raised dots and a cross patée, all within a beaded border.
