| 正面描述 | Left-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III, modelled by Raphael David Maklouf, occupying the central field. The encircling legend reads CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · GIBRALTAR · 2023, with the denomination HALF CROWN inscribed below the portrait. The design follows the tradition of Commonwealth effigy coinage, rendered in high relief against a flat field. |

| 背面描述 | The royal cypher of King Charles III — comprising the interlaced monogram of the letters C and R surmounted by the Roman numeral III — occupies the central field, enclosed within an open wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a small decorative knot. The cypher is surmounted by the St. Edward's Crown, rendered in fine detail above the monogram. The design is unlettered, with the entire composition contained within a plain raised rim. No peripheral legend appears; the reverse relies solely on the heraldic cypher as its principal device. |

Gibraltar has issued commemorative crowns under its own authority since 1967, a right retained when the territory opted to remain a British Overseas Territory. This piece marks Charles III's coronation on 6 May 2023 — the first British coronation in seventy years, following Elizabeth II's accession in 1952. The silver-plated copper-nickel composition places it firmly in the souvenir tier rather than the collector bullion market, a distinction Gibraltar's prolific commemorative program has rarely been shy about blurring.
