| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the denomination inscription arranged in four lines across an otherwise plain field, with 'MEDIO' at the top, followed by 'CENTAVO', 'DE', and 'QUETZAL' in bold incuse lettering of varying size, the initial 'C' of 'CENTAVO' rendered in a notably larger, decorative style. The text fills the entire field in a bold, rectilinear typeface characteristic of early twentieth-century Guatemalan coinage. A continuous beaded border encircles the design. |

Guatemala's 1932 coinage came during the long dictatorship of Jorge Ubico, who had taken power just months earlier and was consolidating control over state finances. The "without dot" variety distinguished by KM#248.1 reflects a die modification — the presence or absence of a dot after the denomination was not accidental but a documented production change, likely mid-year, making the two varieties contemporaneous rather than sequential.
