| Obverse description | Draped bust of Prince Frederick William facing right, with long flowing curled wig falling to the shoulders, wearing a mantle with visible drapery at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a bold Baroque style. The Latin legend encircles the portrait, reading FRID.WIL.D.G.P.IN HOHENZOL., identifying the ruler as Frederick William, by the grace of God Prince in Hohenzollern. The coin field is smooth and the rim features a fine milled border. |

| Reverse description | Crowned and mantled coat of arms of the Principality of Hohenzollern-Hechingen, the shield quartered and supported by elaborate heraldic mantling draped to either side. The crown above the shield is of princely form. The date 1734 is displayed in the lower field, divided by a mintmaster's mark. The motto legend NIHIL ABS QUE DEO encircles the design, reading across both sides of the field, expressing the dynastic device 'Nothing without God'. The rim is decorated with a fine milled border consistent with the obverse. |
