| Reverse description | A crowned princely mantle draped around a central shield of arms composed of seven heraldic quarters, representing the multiple dignities held by Clemens August, including the arms of Cologne, Bavaria, Pfalz, Munster, Osnabruck, Hildesheim, and the Teutonic Order. The elaborate crowned achievement is rendered in fine Baroque engraving with detailed hatching on each quartering. The date 1735 appears divided across the upper field, with the mintmaster initials I H positioned in the lower field. The surrounding Latin legend abbreviates the Elector's extensive ecclesiastical and secular titles. |
