| Reverse description | A bold cross of Savoy occupies the central field, formed by a plain Greek cross with a small central pellet, flanked in each of the four quarters by a fleur-de-lis ornament. The circular Latin legend DVX SAB ET MONTISF PRINC PED surrounds the design along the periphery, proclaiming Charles Emmanuel's titles as Duke of Savoy and Monferrato and Prince of Piedmont. The composition is simple and heraldic, consistent with the small-denomination copper coinage of the period. |
