Obverse description Draped bust of Charles Emmanuel III facing right, wearing an elaborately curled periwig, centered within the field with the date below the truncation. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery reading CAR EM D G R SAR CYP ET IER, identifying the king as ruler of Sardinia, Cyprus and Jerusalem.
