The arms of the cross are plain and well-defined, characteristic of the Gothic hammered coinage style of the Duchy of Brittany. A circular Latin legend occupies the outer field, separated from the cross by a beaded inner border. The flan shows the typical irregularity of hand-struck medieval billon coinage, with a visible chip or flan crack at the lower edge. |
