| Obverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Persian inscription reading 'Zarb Tiflis' (Struck at Tbilisi) with the AH date 1190, arranged in flowing naskh script across two registers. The abbreviated Georgian Asomtavruli royal monogram of Erekle (Heraclius II) appears in the upper portion of the legend. The coin is struck on a roughly circular flan typical of hammered Georgian copper coinage of the period, with the legends contained within an oval cartouche. |
