Opis awersu	Left-facing draped bust of Empress Zauditu (Zawditu), crowned with a tall ornate imperial crown, her hair rendered in long flowing strands falling behind the neck. The engraver's signature appears in the lower field. The circular Ge'ez legend surrounds the effigy, and the Ethiopian regnal year is inscribed in the lower exergue in Ge'ez numerals. A beaded inner border frames the design.
