The quarters display the Hohenzollern sceptre and eagle alongside the arms of Neuchâtel, all rendered in fine engraving with hatching to indicate tinctures. A circular Latin legend surrounds the shield within a milled border, reading F · W · III · BOR · REX · P · SUP · NOVIC & VAL, identifying Frederick William III as King of Prussia and Sovereign Prince of Neuchâtel and Valangin. |
